Banking Hubs are a shared banking space in your community where you can do your everyday banking. They’re owned by Cash Access UK and run by the Post Office®. You can find a full list of Banking Hubs on the Cash Access UK website.

A Community Banker may be in a hub near you one day a week.
Things you can do at a Banking Hub

- Use your debit card and PIN to pay cash into your account. You’ll have instant access to your money.
- You can pay in up to £2,955 a month and up to £20,000 a year.
- If you have a joint account, you can each pay in up to £2,955 a month and £20,000 per year.

- If you don’t have a debit card, you can pay money into your account using a pre-printed paying-in slip. These slips are personalised, so you must use your own slip when you pay in your cash. You can order these at a Halifax branch, or you can give us a call.
- The most cash you can pay in, as a single deposit, using your paying-in slip is £1,000.
- When you use a paying-in slip, the money will be available and show in your account the next working day.

- When you pay in a cheque, you’ll need to use a cheque envelope and a paying-in slip. You can get cheque envelopes in any Halifax branch, but we’ll need to order paying-in slips for you. We can do this in any Halifax branch, or you can give us a call.
- Cheques paid in at the Post Office will take at least one additional working day to credit your account.
- You can pay in cash and cheques at the same time. You’ll need a paying-in slip and cheque envelope for your cheques and a separate paying-in slip for your cash.

You can withdraw up to £300 a day from your current account, at the Post Office. All you need is your debit card and PIN. These withdrawals are free. These withdrawals count towards your £800 daily ATM limit. So, if you withdraw £300 over the Post Office counter, you’ll only be able to withdraw a further £500 from a cash machine, on the same day.
